Aims and Objectives
  •  Managing the extensive trade fair complex-Pragati Maidan, in the heart of Delhi.

  •  Organize various trade fairs & exhibitions at complex in Pragati Maidan and other centers in India.

  •  Extend use of Pragati Maidan for holding of trade fairs and exhibitions by other fair organizers both  from   India and abroad.

  • Identify and nurture specific export  products with long range growth prospects.

  •  Cultivate overseas buyers through timely and efficient services.

  •  Assist Indian companies in product development and adaptation to meet buyer's requirements.

  •  Organize Buyer-Seller meets and other exclusive India shows with a view to bringing buyers and sellers together.

  •  Organize Indian Promotions with Department Stores, Super Markets and  Mail Order Houses abroad.

  •  Participate in overseas trade fairs and exhibitions.

  •  Conduct in-house and need-based research on trade and export promotion.

  •  Arrange product displays for visiting overseas buyers.

  • Invite overseas buyers and organize their meeting with Indian suppliers.

  • Assist in locating suitable foreign collaborators for transfer of technology, joint ventures, marketing tie-ups & investment promotion efforts.

  • Organize seminars/conference/workshops.

  • Encourage and involve small and medium scale units in export promotion efforts.

  • Enlist the involvement and support of the state governments in India for promotion of India's  foreign trade.

  • Promote establishment of facilities for holding trade fairs in state capitals or other suitable  locations in India, wherever possible, in consultation with concerned state government.
